Terms of use
Effective
These terms apply to D Notes, provided by Damian van den Berg. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Using D Notes
You have permission to install and use D Notes for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these terms and the applicable Google Play terms. You retain ownership of your notes and attachments. Do not use the app to infringe others’ rights, distribute unlawful material, or interfere with its services. The app’s code, design, and branding remain the property of their respective owners.
Your notes and backups
You are responsible for your content, device security, and keeping independent backups of important information. Check that backups complete and can be restored. Sync can propagate changes and deletions, so it should not be your only backup.
Google Drive and other services
Optional Drive backup, restore, and sync depend on your Google account, permissions, available storage, network connection, and Google’s services and terms. Changes or interruptions to those services may affect these features. You can choose whether to connect Google Drive. Data handling is explained in the privacy policy.
Purchases and refunds
Optional Pro features are purchased through Google Play at the price shown before purchase. Google Play handles payment and applicable refund processes. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. See Google Play’s refund policy or contact support if you have trouble restoring a purchase.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep D Notes useful and reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, or guarantee recovery of lost notes or backups. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available, without additional warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.
Changes and governing law
Features and these terms may change. Updated terms will be published here with a new effective date; material changes will be communicated where required by law. South African law governs these terms, without removing mandatory protections that apply where you live.
